The 15th Prague Short Film Festival is upon us again, and this year’s diverse programme of films from all over the globe, both in and out of competition, is now up. From Ingmar Bergman to Amazonian women, and virtual reality to sex for beginners, there’s a treat for everyone here.
The Future Gate Sci-fi Film Festival is upon us and will boast an impressive and eclectic mix of titles this year, including classics like the The Fifth Element and Terminator 2.
The 13th annual Prague Shorts will take place from the 17th – 21st of January in Kino Svetozor and Kino Pilotu. For the first time, include a Czech short film competition.

The Festival of Short Films in Prague has brought us some QUALITY screenings this year – a more than decent selection of fascinating films spanning a multitude of different genres and cultures. This weekend sees the 12th glorious year of the Prague Short Film Festival hosted by the organisers of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (let’s just call it KVIFF). The bulk of the festival will be in Kino Svetozor from 18/01 – 22/01 which will have a seemingly endless selection of short films from around the world, and of course, the Czech Republic.
Wes Anderson (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Life Aquatic) has released a Christmas short film / commercial for H&M called Come Together. Distinctive colour palettes, retro set, perfectly symmetrical, plus his tall and lanky regular Adrien Brody – Anderson has been sick all over this commercial and it’s lovely.
