To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Ridley Scott’s Alien, Fox will present six new short films set within the Alien cinematic universe, starting from the end of March.
The Predator is a reasonably entertaining action movie that loses all credibility and soul in the last half an hour.
Cheesy dialogue and a messy narrative make this a confusing outing. It’s a wonky blend of the original Alien and Prometheus. Apples and Oranges.
It’s probably been one of the most anticipated trailer build-ups this year, right up there with Blade Runner 2049. The magic of Ridley Scott. But can we expect something similar to the original Alien? Of course not, but this trailer is impressive and haunting nonetheless. Mind. Officially. Blown.
With all of the hype around Alien: Covenant and the nail biting wait for the first teaser trailer, there hasn’t been much talk of Neill Blomkamp’s mysterious Alien 5 project, which has been in the works since Blomkamp (District 9, Elysium) shared some incredibly twisted alien concept art just after wrapping his last film Chappie, also starring Sigourney Weaver.
With the release of Alien: Covenant this month, I thought now a better time than ever to get nostalgic about the old Alien movies and Hollywood’s (still) reigning action heroine, the glorious Sigourney Weaver.
