After a disappointing last few episodes, the finale got the ball rolling again, but unfortunately it all came a bit too late. Still, some wonderful performances and very creative art direction.

American Gods: Season 1, Episode 7 review
American Gods takes us away from the main plot again to fill us in on the backstory of Mad Sweeney. Not a particularly rewarding or relevant episode. It’s time that things got back on track, but next week is the finale…
American Gods: Season 1, Episode 6 review
Episode 6 sees us get back into the road trip side of things. Two road trips in fact, both equally strange, and confusing.
American Gods: Season 1, Episode 5 review
Gillian Anderson is back as the truly twisted ‘Media’ and her many guises, including an uncanny David Bowie impersonation. A lot more of the newer gods in this episode, including the welcomed introduction of Crispin Glover as Mr World in a truly psychedelic prison break scene.
American Gods: Season 1, Episode 4 review
Despite Emily Browning getting a chance to show off the intriguing and powerful character that is the dead wife Laura, Ricky Whittle’s Shadow continues to be little more than just a pretty face.
American Gods: Season 1, Episode 3 review
Some fascinating gods, and series revelations come in episode 3, shrouded in storms and snow. Shadow finally comes out of his shell and we’re again introduced to some new characters. Another extremely visual and poetic episode.
American Gods: Season 1, Episode 2 review
An incredible dark and twisted second episode with a distinctive road movie feel to itself. Some interesting new characters come to surface, but none as intriguing as Gillian Anderson’s ‘Media’ – a serious ‘wow’ moment mid-episode.
American Gods: Season 1, Episode 1 review

A memorable pilot that leaves us itching for more of this fascinating underworld of gods. Something tells me with but only scratched the surface of this massive universe.
