After a disappointing last few episodes, the finale got the ball rolling again, but unfortunately it all came a bit too late. Still, some wonderful performances and very creative art direction.
American Gods takes us away from the main plot again to fill us in on the backstory of Mad Sweeney. Not a particularly rewarding or relevant episode. It’s time that things got back on track, but next week is the finale…

Some fascinating gods, and series revelations come in episode 3, shrouded in storms and snow. Shadow finally comes out of his shell and we’re again introduced to some new characters. Another extremely visual and poetic episode.
