Roma chronicles a year in the life of Cleo (Yalitza Aparicio), a quiet young maid for a wealthy family in Mexico City in the ’70s, who falls pregnant after an unfortunate affair.
This is Alfonso Cuarón’s first film since 2013’s Gravity and the director’s most personal film to date, gorgeously captured in black and white and recently awarded Best Film of the year by the New York Critics Circle.
