The Favourite trailer – Lanthimos’ latest coming to Czech cinemas

Festival hit The Favourite from Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos is finally coming to Czech cinemas this January.

Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos (The Killing of a Sacred Deer, The Lobster), master of the Greek Weird Wave, The Favourite is a historical comedy starring Rachel Weisz, Olivia Coleman and Emma Stone as three women competing for power in 18th-century England.

The film has received rave reviews since its premiere at Venice International Film Festival in September, where it won the Grand Jury prize and the Coppa Volpi Best Actress award for Olivia Coleman who plays Queen Anne.

The Favourite will hit Czech cinemas from January 24.
