Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 review – ridiculously fun, and sometimes just ridiculous
Guardians 2 is a clever and entertaining sci-fi / action romp with amazing pop culture references and wit, which towards the end, is almost completely ruined by ridiculous plot twists, poor leads, and layer upon layer of cheese. Thank god for Baby Groot.

Passengers is a sleek and shiny interstellar sci-fi about a flight that makes the L.A. to Sydney look like a walk in the park. It’s ultimately a love story with some occasional disaster movie elements thrown in. Titanic in space? Sometimes it’s exactly that.
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 trailer
So it’s here and the whole crew is back (plus a whole lot of guest appearances), including little Baby Groot who you are sure to fall in love with. I see a lot of internet memes in the near future. A lot of insanely beautiful CGI visuals going on here, whatever that kraken looking thing is, I love it. There’s also a lot of awkward Chris Prattish humour, just like the first one. It doesn’t really work for me but apparently it does for most other people. All this to the soundtrack of classic rock. I’m curious to see what happens with the soundtrack for this one, considering the first was so iconic. Check it out below.
