Even if you weren’t a big fan of 2016’s villain outing Suicide Squad, you must admit that Margot Robbie carried the film with her balls out performance of the popular Batman villain… so much so that the all-female Harley Quinn spin-off Birds of Prey is now here and the first trailer has dropped.
Directed by Cathy Yan (Dead Pigs) and based on the popular DC comic, the long-winded Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn is set after the events of Suicide Squad and focuses on a liberated post-Joker Quinn as she teams up with superheroes Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez) to take on Gotham’s Black Mask (Ewan McGregor).
Birds of Prey also stars Chris Messina, Ali Wong and Bojana Novakovic.
In Czech cinemas from February 6th, 2020.
