A new UK trailer has dropped for George Clooney’s Suburbicon. The director’s latest black comedy looks to wow the festival circuit this fall.
Suburbicon sees the dark underbelly of an idyllic 1950’s American town exposed after a savage home invasion. Think American Beauty meets Pleasantville, with a dash of Coen Brothers (Fargo, The Big Lebowski), who had a hand in writing the script. No surprises there as Clooney himself has collaborated with the auteurs on more than one occasion. Check out the trailer below.
Starring Matt Damon, Julianne Moore and Oscar Isaac, Suburbicon is Clooney’s first film since 2014’s The Monument Men. The film will screen at both Venice and Toronto Film Festivals this year and will hit select cinemas this October.
