New Pamela Anderson Vogue cover inspired by Czechoslovak film ‘Who Wants to Kill Jessie?’

By Ryan Keating-Lambert

Pamela Anderson is on the cover of the latest issue of Vogue Czechoslovakia in a photoshoot inspired by classic Czechoslovak film Who Wants to Kill Jessie?

The 51-year-old Baywatch actress and icon posed in front of the beautiful French beaches of Cassis in a sixties style shoot that closely resembled the 1966 science fiction comedy directed by Václav Vorlíček and starring Olga Schoberová.

The iconic film focuses on a scientist who creates a machine to bring characters and scenarios from dreams to real life – Czech comic illustrator and legend Kája Saudek was behind the special effects in the film.

The photoshoot and accompanying interview mimic aspects of Who Wants to Kill Jessie? by breaking down Anderson’s role as a comic-like sex symbol, which she says is a ‘cliché’, and exploring the ‘socialist feminist’ that she has become.

In recent years, the actress has become more of a political activist and has earned quite a following on social media, especially on Twitter, where she posts regularly.
