The first trailer of the gorgeous Murder on the Orient Express looks dressed to impress, and with this star studded cast, not to mention Kenneth Branagh in the director’s chair, it might even beat the original.
It has got big shoes to fill though. Based on the 1934 detective story by Agatha Christie, the 1974 Orient Express was directed by Sidney Lumet, and won an Best Supporting Actress Oscar for Ingrid Bergman. The trailer and outstanding cast give us high hopes though.
Branagh has cast himself as Detective Hercule Poirot (moustache alert) who investigates a train murder. Aboard the orient express, and looking rather guilty, are a host of assorted passengers and crew members played by Penelope Cruz, Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley, Judi Dench, Josh Gad, Olivia Coleman, Willem Dafoe, Leslie Odom Jr, Josh Gad, and Johnny Depp. Now THAT’S a cast.
Murder on the Orient Express will be in select cinemas in November.
