Whiplash director Damien Chazelle may be heading for a Best Picture Oscar this year with his new film La La Land. Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone lead this romantic musical that met critical acclaim across the summer festival circuit.
La La Land follows the story of Mia (Stone, a young actress temporarily working as a waitress when she meets jazz musician Sebastian (Gosling). The two fall in love instantly and trip the light fantastic in a crazy colourful Los Angeles full of artistic dreams and wonder. The trailer is so colourful and has a Woody Allen kind of look to it.
