New A24 film Under the Silver Lake finally hits Czech cinemas this week after a successful festival run.
Directed by David Robert Mitchell, who directed 2015’s critically-acclaimed and groundbreaking horror movie It Follows, the film is a fascinating genre mash-up of noir thriller, Lynchian arthouse and comic ingenuity set around 33-year-old Sam (Andrew Garfield) and his search for his neighbour (Riley Keough) who mysteriously disappears. The film was an Official Selection of Cannes Film Festival this year and also garnered a Special Mention award at the Sitges Film Festival, before having its Czech premiere at Prague’s Be2Can.
Also starring Topher Grace, Callie Hernandez, Zosia Mamet, Jimmi Simpson and Patrick Fischler.
Under the Silver Lake will be in select Czech cinemas from December 6.
