The new red band trailer for the darkly comedic biopic I, Tonya shows the real story behind the controversial figure skater.
Directed by Craig Gillespie (Lars and the Real Girl), the film turned a lot of heads when it premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival this year. Margot Robbie (Suicide Squad, The Wolf of Wall Street) plays the real-life figure skater known for her short temper and bad language. Tonya Harding was an unstoppable force whose rough upbringing eventually led to Olympic fame, and this trailer doesn’t hold back.
Co-starring the always wonderful Allison Janney as Harding’s mother, this film might just be the Oscar underdog we’ve been waiting for.
I, Tonya will hit select cinemas in February.
