The teaser trailer just dropped for the much anticipated sci-fi dystopian drama The Discovery. A film that was revived by Netflix after it was thrown in the reject bin. Don’t we love Netflix for that?
The film, starring Rooney Mara, Jason Segal and Robert Redford, sees the discovery of a scientifically proven afterlife. Eventually, the general population start killing themselves in order to reach what they believe to be an eternity of happiness and heaven, but it seems things will turn out to be a little more complicated than that.
Directed by Charlie McDowell (The One I Love), The Discovery has a certain Children of Men feel to it, especially in this dreamy teaser.
The Discovery will be released on Netflix on Friday, March 31.
