Hayao Miyazaki is one of the most influential animators of our time. His films have inspired and entertained people all over the world, and his animation work is breathtaking and simply unmatched. In 2014 he was awarded an Honorary Academy Award for his impact on animation and cinema, and his films have grossed more than a billion dollars world wide.
After successfully crowdfunding over 200% of the target to buy the rights to screen Miyazaki’s films in the Czech Republic, Bio OKO proudly boasts a line-up of 7 Hayao Miyazaki films that will be shown from 18/01 – 27/01.
Titles include Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, My Neighbour Totoro, Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke, Howl’s Moving Castle (Photo), Kiki’s Delivery Service and Spirited Away.
All films will be shown with both Czech and English subtitles, along with a few additional screenings with Czech dubbing. Check the Bio OKO programme for more details, and see you there!
