The Dead Don’t Die is Jim Jarmusch’s new film, and as you can probably guess from the title, it’s a zombie film, and it stars basically everyone (who matters).
After 2016’s poetic Paterson, this new Jarmusch outing looks rather wacky and sees the return of Adam Driver and the long awaited return of old Jarmusch favourite Bill Murray, as a couple of small-town cops investigating a mysterious outbreak of undead.
The film also stars Tilda Swinton, Chloë Sevigny, Selena Gomez, Steve Buscemi, Carol Kane, Danny Glover, RZA, Iggy Pop and Tom Waits.
It’ll be interesting to see how this one unfolds since Jarmusch is usually known for rather dreamy dialogue driven films with classics like Night on Earth, Dead Man and even 2014’s Only Lovers Left Alive, which had Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston as jaded vampire rock stars, and felt more like contemplative cinema than vamp horror.
The Dead Don’t Die will be in select cinemas internationally June 14.
